It's time to get your social on! Our May Bootcamp is will focus on all things Social Media! Let's be "reel" here... we all love scrolling through social media, right? But are we using it right for our business? Do you know ALL the features at your (literal) finger tips to reach your target audience and tell your story? Probably Not! That's why we brought together the folks from behind some powerful brands on Utah social media - businesses and orgs that are crushing it - Minky Couture, Riverton City and Mountain America Federal Credit Union! From best practices on the top platforms to outsourcing to an agency, our panel of talented social media gurus will help you understand how to navigate the ever-changing social media landscape and leverage all the tools available to get your business out in front of customers!
About out Panelists:
Nate Slack
Nate Slack has worked as the Public Relations Specialist for Riverton City for the last year. Prior to his work at Riverton, Nate spent time as a Director of Communications in the BYU Athletic Department and as the Communications Specialist for Knight Transportation. Over the last five years, Nate has managed social media and website content for organizations, local government, sports teams and local sports media coverage.
McKenna Harrison
McKenna has been part of Minky Couture's social media team for 4 years. She began managing the Minky Couture Orem store page, which she grew from 0 to 15,000 in just 5 months. With her success, she was then promptly promoted to working on Minky Couture's corporate page creating content & working with influencer collaborations. She also created and manages Minky Couture's TikTok which she has grown organically from 0 followers to 50k in 2 years!
Ali Wood
Ali has been part of Minky Couture's social media team for 4 years. She began managing the Minky Couture Sugarhouse store page, which she grew from 0 to 15,000 in just 5 months. With her success, she was then promptly promoted to working on Minky Couture's corporate page creating content & working with influencer collaborations. Ali runs Minky Couture's Live videos & engages closely with our audience. She creates an immaculate customer experience by managing Minky Couture's comments & messages, as well as through community engagement.
Krystalina Brown
Krystalina Brown is the Director of Strategic Communications and Social Media at Mountain America Credit Union. Mountain America is the second largest credit union in Utah with over $16 billion+ in assets. She has been with Mountain America for 16 years and has held many positions involving corporate events, customer experience, and currently is responsible for social media, content, copywriting/editing and member communications. She also hosts a podcast “Guiding you Forward” which promotes financial education to Mountain America’s one million+ members. She is highly competitive and passionate about leading people with innovation and creativity to provide winning results.
Krystalina currently resides in Lehi, Utah with her husband of 12 years, Brandon, their three beautiful children and Shorkie, Bella. In her free time, she loves a good book, working in the yard, sweating at hot yoga and chasing her kids around with their various activities.
