For over a decade, Matt Townsend has been energizing and involving audiences with his unique approach to building and maintaining successful relationships. Known as a top presenter in the field of Human Relations and Development, Matt blends humor and story-telling with interactive, real-life solutions that inspire and motivate.

Having dedicated his life to the study of communication and interpersonal relationships, Matt has worked extensively in the areas of results oriented communication, conflict resolution and time management training. Since working as a lead presenter at Franklin Covey, Matt founded the Townsend Relationship Center and affiliate firms, Capacity Consulting and Marriage Matters. Through these entities, Matt has shared his expertise in relationships, communication and conflict resolution with thousands of clients ranging from married couples to large corporations as well as during his hour-long, daily radio program, “The Matt Townsend Show and his weekly segments on Utah’s Studio 5 television show.

Matt earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Communication and his doctoral degree in Human Development. He is the author of “Starved Stuff: Feeding the 7 Basic Needs of Healthy Relationships.” This landmark book takes a down-to-earth look at strengthening relationships, offering solid tools and skills for creating lasting change in any relationship.
